Social media content creation

Social media content creation in Mexico is a two-hour shoot that produces both photographs and vertical video, priced from $400 for 20 edited photos and 6 edited vertical clips delivered within 7 days. It is made for accounts rather than albums: a creator documenting a trip, a boutique hotel or villa that needs fresh posts, a restaurant launching a menu, a brand shooting a collection on a beach in Tulum or a street in Oaxaca. One person shoots both formats in the same session, so the photos and clips share the same light, outfits and locations.

About this session

Photos and vertical video from one session

The session starts from a shot list agreed before the day, built around the account it is for and what that account sells. A hotel needs the pool at opening time, the room with morning light and a drink being made at the bar; a creator needs transitions, walking shots and a few frames with space for text. The clips are filmed and edited vertically for reels, stories and short-video feeds, and they arrive with licensed music or with clean audio, so you can add a sound inside the app yourself. A commercial song is never included, because the right to use it in a branded post is not ours to grant.

Location rules matter more for this service than for a private photo session, because content for a brand is commercial work. The Instituto Nacional de Antropología e Historia (INAH) says commercial content shot inside its archaeological sites, even on a phone, is subject to INAH fees, and filming with professional equipment there needs authorisation INAH-01-001, applied for at least 10 business days ahead. Resorts and beach clubs set their own rules on filming in common areas and on outside creators, and cenotes are run by their operators, each with its own policy on cameras.

This is not personal brand photography, which delivers still portraits for a website and a profile, and it is not a vacation photoshoot, which has no video. If you need a single long film rather than short clips, look at event videography or proposal video instead. Social media content is the right booking when the output is a feed: a set of photos and clips that can be posted over the following weeks without looking like they came from one afternoon.

Questions about social media content creation

Who books social media content creation in Mexico?

Social media content creation is booked by creators, small hotels, villas, restaurants, boutiques and travellers who want reels of their trip: 2 hours of shooting that produce both 20 edited photos and 6 vertical clips. It differs from personal brand photography, which delivers still portraits only, and from a vacation photoshoot, which has no video at all.

What format are the social media clips delivered in, and do they have music?

The 6 clips from a social media content session are filmed and edited vertically for reels, stories and short-video feeds. Each clip is delivered with licensed music or with clean audio, so you can add a sound inside the app yourself; a commercial song is not included, because the rights to use it in an advert or a branded post are not ours to grant.

Can social media content be filmed at an archaeological zone in Mexico?

Social media content for a brand counts as commercial work, and the Instituto Nacional de Antropología e Historia (INAH) says commercial content shot inside its sites, even on a phone, is subject to INAH fees. Filming with professional equipment there needs authorisation INAH-01-001, applied for at least 10 business days ahead, so plan a content session at a ruin well before the trip.

Can a social media content session be filmed inside a resort?

Filming social media content inside a resort in Mexico is up to the property: ask the hotel whether it allows filming in pools, restaurants and other common areas, and whether an outside content creator must be registered. Other guests also appear in wide shots, so a content session at a hotel is planned for quiet hours and framed to keep strangers out of the clips.
