Hotel & resort photography
Hotel and resort photography in Mexico is a full day on a property photographing its rooms, pools, restaurants, spa and common areas for a website, booking engines and marketing, priced from $1,200 for 8 hours and 80 edited photographs delivered within 2 weeks. It is quoted rather than fixed, because the number of room types, outlets and amenities, the need for models and the hours each space looks right decide how many days the property needs.

About this session
A day on property, planned around the guests

Guests come first, and the schedule is built around them. Rooms are photographed as they are released and held, pools and beaches at first light before loungers fill, restaurants before service, the lobby in the quiet hour after check-out. Any guest who could be recognised is left out of the frame or asked to sign a release, and the hotel decides in advance which areas the crew may enter and when. A single staff contact for the day, and a walk-through the afternoon before, keep the eight hours for photographs rather than for finding keys.
Spaces read better in use: a couple at the infinity pool, a guest on the spa bed, a server pouring coffee at breakfast. Those people are staff or hired models, and every one signs a model release before any photograph appears in the hotel’s marketing, its booking engine or paid advertising. The shot list is agreed with the marketing team before the day and tied to where each image will run, so the 80 photographs cover the pages that need them instead of the same pool from ten angles.
For a single villa or condo, villa and rental photography is the smaller service. For a wedding or an event held at the hotel, the wedding and corporate event services cover people rather than property, and aerial views of the resort are booked as a separate drone service, flown under the rules of the Agencia Federal de Aviación Civil (AFAC).
Questions about hotel & resort photography
How does hotel photography protect guest privacy?
Hotel and resort photography is scheduled so guests are not in the frame: rooms photographed as they are released, pools and the beach at first light, restaurants before service. Any guest who could be recognised is either left out or asked to sign a release, and the hotel decides in advance which areas the crew may enter and when.
Do we need models for hotel and resort photography?
Hotel and resort photography reads better when a few spaces are in use — a couple at the pool, a guest at the spa, a server at breakfast. Those people can be staff or hired models, and every one of them signs a model release before the photographs appear in the hotel’s marketing, booking engines or paid advertising.
Why is hotel and resort photography quoted?
Hotel and resort photography in Mexico starts with an 8-hour day and 80 edited photographs, and the quote then changes with the number of room types, outlets and amenities, whether models are needed, and whether the property needs more than one day to photograph each space at its right hour. The scope is written before the shoot date is confirmed.
What should a resort prepare before a photography day?
Before hotel and resort photography, a property should assign one staff contact for the day, hold the rooms on the shot list, have pools, loungers and towels set, plate the dishes for the restaurant shots on time, and turn off music and screens in the frame. A walk-through the day before keeps the 8 hours for photographs.
